After Effects of Having Breast Augmentation
Pain Around the Surgical Areas
There are various immediate effects of having a breast enlargement through breast augmentation. These affects are more less the regular after surgery effects. The main and most irritating after effects is pain around the bust area. The pain extends from the point of operation insertion during the boob job, usually at the armpits or beneath the nipples. The pain can be kept at a low level by taking the right pain killers as prescribed by the doctor after the operation. The pain may extend for a couple of weeks usually 3-4 weeks but it varies depending on different people. Apart from the pain, you will feel the discomfort of the insertions especially if it is the saline filling insertion. The discomfort will also last for quite some time. However, you will get used to having the insertions in your body.
Swelling Around the Operation Areas
Another after effect of having a breast augmentation is swelling that takes place around your breasts and especially at the areas that were directly involved during the operation. However, these swelling should not disturb you as it is a normal and natural healing process. The swelling is caused by fluid flow to the tissues that were disturbed during the boob job process. The swelling should be gone about 3 weeks after the breast enlargement. The swelling may leave a pale look on your skin but this is also a natural process of healing and should not be alarm you. However, if the swelling persists, you should see a doctor since this could be signs of infected skin.
Bruises at the Insertion Points
Within the first few weeks after the breast augmentation operation, you may also notice some bruises around the place where the boob job cut was done. The bruises could an extension of the stitched place and the marks could look like it is serious. However, the bruises should also heal off within a short time. If the bruises last beyond the 3rd week after your breast enlargement, you should seek further medical attention.
Reduced Movement of Your Upper Body
Another common consequence of the boob job is limited movement and inability to stretch comfortably for the first two or so months. This is brought about by the affected muscle tissues around your breast. You will find it hard to do anything much for the first few days and normal processes such as taking a bath may seem quite hard. Further more, stretching may also lead to further complications and you should avoid doing any strenuous exercises and stretching within the first two months after having the breast augmentation. To prepare for your healing process, you should move your regular items such as cups, toiletries, books and other personal belonging to a comfortable level before having the breast enlargement. You are also advised to hire some nursing services in the first few weeks of recovery.
